15th Century Bevor. This chin-shaped defense for the lower face incorporates a half gorget. Usually worn with a sallet helm, it comes with a pivoting upper lame with breath holes and an expertly crafted rolled and roped edge. It can be made from 16 or 18 gauge steel.
